Knowledge City Celebrates Teacher’s Day with Grand Honor for Educators, Cycle Distribution, and Major Announcement of Upcoming Medical College

​KNOWLEDGE CITY — September 5: Knowledge City celebrated Teacher’s Day with profound respect, enthusiasm, and colorful festivities at its prominent 'Vidyasagar Manch'. The grand event, organized under the overall leadership and direction of Knowledge City Chairman Abdur Rob, was graced by Local MLA Agnishwar Naskar as the Chief Guest, alongside distinguished social worker Bidhan Parui as a Special Guest.

​The campus transformed into a vibrant gathering as faculty members and thousands of students from various institutions—including the Law College and Nursing Institute—actively participated. The official proceedings commenced with a respectful floral tribute to the portrait of India’s former President and eminent educationist, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

A key highlight of the program was the thoughtful initiative to honor the teaching fraternity for their outstanding contributions. MLA Agnishwar Naskar personally handed over special commemorative mementos and honors to all teachers present on stage. Furthermore, aligning with the state government's student-centric vision and extending the benefits of the Sabooj Sathi scheme, bicycles were distributed to eligible students by the MLA. The students expressed immense joy upon receiving their new bicycles.


​In his address, MLA Agnishwar Naskar lauded Chairman Abdur Rob for his vision in expanding education and serving society. He made a landmark announcement, revealing that a formal proposal to establish a full-fledged Medical College within the Knowledge City campus has been submitted to the Legislative Assembly and is on the verge of final approval. The news that this long-cherished dream project of Abdur Rob is close to realization was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from the audience.


​With the utmost tribute paid to the teaching community, smiles brought to students' faces, and a promising announcement regarding the new medical college, Knowledge City's Teacher's Day celebration stands marked as a historic milestone.

Narayana Hospital, Barasat, Saves a Stroke Patient with Successful Rare Heart Tumour Surgery

Barasat, January xx 2025 - Narayana Hospital, Barasat, successfully performed a life-saving heart surgery to remove a rare left arterial Myxoma (heart tumour) from a stroke-affected woman. The complex procedure led by Dr Arunansu Dhole, Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, overcame significant risks and delivered a positive outcome, restoring the patient’s health and mobility. The woman was admitted with right-sided hemiplegia (paralysis on the right side of her body) caused by an embolic stroke, where tumour-related clots blocked blood flow to the brain. Echocardiography revealed a large tumour, known as a left atrial myxoma, inside her heart. The tumour was 5 cm in size and had caused blood clots, which led to the stroke. After initial treatment, surgery was planned for a later date to allow her condition to stabilize.
