Ecclesiastes Café, the 1st Premium Health Café located in Kasba, Kolkata, West Bengal celebrates its 04th Birth Anniversary on the 03rd October, 2024 (Thursday) introducing the Durga Puja Special Menu, 2024. 

Durga Puja is the festival which invokes the Goddess Durga to descend upon the face of the earth on Mahalaya which marks the start of the Durga Puja celebrations in more than 3000 Barowari Pujos and more than 200 Pujos organized in the city with a budget of 1 crore.

Durga Puja has been inscribed on the list of the “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” by “The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in the year 2021. 

We at Ecclesiastes Café have tried to infuse the Puja celebrations and the days of the Puja with the food one must consume which is in sync with our curated menus which starts from Shasthi, Saptami, Astami, Navami and ends with Dashami with a variety of Vegan, Vegetarian and Non - Vegetarian dishes. Each day has a new menu with new innovative food infused with great culinary skills prepared by our trained and knowledgeable chefs and dietitians.

The specialities of our Café are that we cater to diverse taste buds of the people of West Bengal. The people here look for multi-cuisine dishes which are new, tasty, authentic and palatable. 

Ecclesiastes Cafe provides a wide range of food which starts from the best English Breakfast to a nicely curated Lunch which is calorie quantified along with Healthy Snacks and a light Dinner Menu with a variety of option for people of all domains to choose from when they visit and dine in also the same menu is available online that is on Zomato, Swiggy and on our Website. Our food is for one and all with a pocket pinch of Rs. 1,000/- to Rs,1,500/- for 2 persons, which is affordable and pocket friendly. 

We provide the best quality packaging materials made out of corn starch and 100% biodegradable food boxes and containers which have been highly appreciated by all our customers. The usage of these high quality biodegradable food boxes are exceptionally expensive but not more expensive to the landfills which are caused by using plastic containers and food boxes. We want to lead by example in the food and beverage industries to raise an awareness by our work towards our environment and our society and our country, India. We are responsible to handover an environmental friendly society to our next generations. We have started our work which is lead by action. We promote cleaner, healthier environment by distributing indoor plants whenever we have an event and on Republic Day and Independence Day, every year.

One famous dishes with our customers are Bandel Cheese Sandwich, Grilled Chicken and Cheese Sandwich, Tuna Sandwich, Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Cheese Sandwich, Coffee Almond Smoothie, Kiwi Lassi, Apple Lassi, Butter Coffee, Watermelon Gingerelle, Masala Tandoori Chai, Kesar Tandoori Chai, Maida Roti and Chicken Kosha, Kebab Platters (Vegan, Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian), Dosa, Idlies, Chinese Combos, Taste of Indian Chinese, Taste of Mughals, Healthy Snacks, Healthy Dessert which is a Healthy Kulfi made by us and many more healthy and tasty food items.

The Healthy Heart symbolizes the concept of the Café that if you Eat Healthy, Drink Healthy you will be happy in life as the Roman Poet Virgil rightly said, ‘The Greatest Wealth is Health’! The Dieticians who are In-house take utmost care to provide hot, fresh, calorie quantified meals to all our customers while they dine-in at the café or order online via Zomato or Swiggy or Order Directly at the Cafe. The café provides the best quality raw materials to the chefs so that the food is cooked fresh, clean, healthy and super delicious. The chefs too put their utmost effort to provide the best of foods to all the customers.

Last but not the least, 10% of proceeds of this café is spent on the food and education of the widows and children of Sundarbans and the tiger victim widows and their children were encouraged to inaugurate the café in the year 2020 and that was the best day 0f their lives as they felt respected and honored in society and were part of the celebrations. We also purchase raw vegetables, Sundarban Raw Honey, Fresh Farm Eggs from the underprivileged women of Sundarbans to support their small scale business which they run in their villages.

The founder directors of Ecclesiastes Café are Dr. Purnendu Roy and Ms. Olivia Dunlop who strive everyday to bring the best healthy and tasty food for all the customer. In the last 4 years, we have served 30,000 customers which includes our patients, patient parties, doctors, employees, friends, families and customers who have dined-in and ordered from us Online through Zomato, Swiggy and Website.
