Orchids The International School, Kolkata celebrates 78th Independence Day with Enthusiasm and Patriotism
Kolkata, 15th August - Orchids The International School proudly celebrated Independence Day today marking the 78th anniversary of our nation's freedom. The event was conducted in Orchids The International school Newtown and Madhyamgram campus grounds, and was a vibrant display of patriotism, cultural performances, and unity.
Apart from the Independence Day celebrations, Orchids The International School Newtown and Madhyamgram campus organised Battle of Bands, where five bands of the students from each campus showcased their skill set of playing instruments like Guitars, Drums, and Keyboards.
Orchids The International School, Newtown commenced the event with the hoisting of the national flag by Bidyunmala Salunke, Principal of the Newtown campus followed by a heartfelt rendition of the national anthem by the school choir. The assembly was attended by students, teachers, parents, and other school staff, all of them joined in honoring the rich legacy of our country’s struggle for independence. Students showcased their talents through a series of performances, including traditional dances, patriotic songs, and a skit highlighting the historical significance of Independence Day.
Orchids The International School Madhyamgram campus also celebrated the 78th Independence Day with the Flag hoisting followed by the National Anthem. The Chief Guest Md. Abdul Halim, Trustee of Orchids The International School was felicitated by Sakshi Kumari, student of Grade 4 followed by a speech of Ms. Rubaiya Rehman, Principal of the Madhyamgram campus. Independence Day celebration included March Past, Drill, patriotic dance, and skit performances by the students. Teachers also participated by performing dances, enhancing the spirit of India’s Independence and adding a patriotic touch.
Orchids The International School's Independence Day event was a dynamic display of patriotism and unity. The young participants embodied the spirit of a nation, rich in culture and determined to build a stronger future, which was a fitting homage to India's 78 years of freedom.
